Report begins:

To the illustrious Captain Crimson Jack, commander of the Pirate fleet. This data transmission includes my full report on the voyage of Alex and Amydara on the CSL Starcruiser Halycon.

As noted in previous data transmissions, Alex and Amydara are identified as persons of interest scheduled to board the Halcyon Starcruiser on its 275th anniversary voyage to the planet Batuu. It seems that for its anniversary voyage, the Halcyon was scheduled to travel from Coruscant and Chandrila to the outer rim outpost Batuu, on the edge of Wild Space.

Alex and Amydara arrived at the spaceport to board the launchpod to the CSL Halcyon Starcruiser.

After a briefing by the crew, their launchpod blasted off from the starport and soon docked with the Halcyon without incident.

Upon boarding, as with all passengers boarding the ship, they found themselves in the opulent surroundings of the Chandrila Star Line (CSL) Halcyon, one of the Galaxy’s most renowned starcruisers, finding themselves first in the Atrium and then being given a tour of their cabin, and an introduction to the ship’s logistics droid, D3-O9, through the in-cabin droid link, who welcomed them aboard.

Prior to boarding, Alex and Amydara’s datapads received their voyage itineraries, a welcome, as well as a notification that the Halcyon was under investigation by the First Order. As I am sure you are well aware Captain, First Order investigations of ships in the core and mid-rim worlds have been increasing as of late. However, it seems unusual that the First Order would target a passenger starliner like the Halcyon.

Alex and Amydara then proceeded to take lunch in the Crown of Corellia Dining room, explore the ship, and shop in the ship’s Chandrila Collection, spending an unusual number of credits.

Yet, as you may be suspecting my good Captain, this seeming normality of a relaxing “starcruiser voyage” appears to have hidden a much deeper set of plans, contacts, meetings, and altercations. While their itineraries showed exciting yet benign activities, such as a bridge tour, dancing, a fashion gala, and I must say, an envious concert and dinner in the Crown of Corellia Dining Room by none other than galactic superstar Gaya, these activities seem to all be a diversion to hide a series of what appears to be a set of clandestine plans. Alex and Amydara either set out to, or were pulled into a surprising series of events that I will detail here in this report in which they aid the Resistance to save the ship and recover an ancient Jedi artifact, undermine the First Order, work with pirates and smugglers, help a struggling musician, dodge Stormtroopers and First Order officers, build and learn to wield lightsabers, grow closer to the Force, return an ancient symbol of freedom to its rightful owners, and escape destruction by the Supreme Leader of The First Order himself!

As activities began to pick up as passengers continued to arrive on the Halcyon before it jumped to hyperspace to leave the Chandrila and Coruscant star systems, it appears that Amydara and Alex, made their way to the Sublight Lounge aboard the Halcyon, drinking, and gambling at the holo-sabacc table, all as an apparent cover for a series of secret meetings with Resistance contacts.

In the Sublight Lounge, Alex especially appears to have gambled away a fortune in credits at holo-sabacc with Ouannii, the Rodian keyboardist who accompanies Galactic Superstar Gaya. He also seems to have spoken directly with multiple contacts, attempting to unload his recently acquired credits and encrypted data cards to an interested buyer. Perhaps these are Resistance contacts? I have my suspicions.

Alex though, is also known as a big fan of Galactic Superstar Gaya, which, as he is quite tall for a human, garnered an especially emphatic response from a fellow passenger who he met before muster, Sandro. Sandro it seems is an out of work, yet especially talented galactic musician, who is also a big fan of Gaya. Running into each other in the crowd before muster, they both heard each other talking about Gaya and as Alex said “You like Gaya? I love Gaya, I’m a big fan!”. Sandro replied “A big fan? You’re Gaya’s biggest fan!” After that, throughout the voyage, Alex, Sandro, and Amydara talked often, as Sandro was introduced to Ouannii and a relationship blossomed between them, Sandro composed multiple songs, was introduced to Gaya’s manager, Raithe Kole, and even met and played multiple sets with Gaya herself! By the end of the voyage, Sandro called Alex out as “Gaya’s biggest fan”.

To the surprise of the passengers, the Captain, and crew alike, during ship muster and Captain Keevan’s welcome and toast, the Halcyon was boarded by the First Order!

Lt. Croy of the First Order, along with his Stormtroopers, proceeded to inform everyone that the ship was under suspicion for sympathizing and aiding the Resistance, and that there would be a First Order presence aboard for the duration of the journey. The ship’s Cruise Director Lenka Mok, as well as the Chief Engineer Sammie, both also seemed quite taken aback by the First Order’s arrival.

Interestingly, it appears that soon after boarding the Halcyon, both passengers began receiving encrypted secret comms through their CSL datapad.

Provided to all passengers on the Halcyon, the datapad is used by the Halcyon Captain, Captain Keevan, and the ship’s crew to keep passengers up to date on itineraries, ports of call, and any emergencies.

Through our contacts though, we were able to intercept multiple encrypted comms sent and received from both Alex and Amydara, including known smugglers, the Saja who follow the ancient ways of the Force, and members of the Halcyon crew itself.

It appears that contact may have first been established as Amydara and Alex attempted to slice their way into both Engineering and the Cargo Hold. As evidenced from these intercepted comms, Raithe Kole seems to be more than just Gaya’s manager, operating in league with known smugglers and pirates, while the crew of the Halcyon, including Lenka Mok, may have direct ties to the Resistance.

After making contact with all manner of characters through the datapad, Amydara and Alex used the information from their informants, particularly Raithe Kole, to access the ship consoles, hacking into, and gaining access to a multitude of ship-wide systems, including accessing Engineering, as well as “accessing” the Brig.

Having connected with their contacts through the datapad, Alex and Amydara soon met up with Raithe Kole, and the droid SK-620, suspected by the First Order to be working with the Resistance.

They then quickly learned of the presence of Chewbacca aboard the Halcyon, Rebellion hero of the battles of Yavin 4 and Endor, among many other known contacts throughout the New Republic and Resistance. Chewbacca’s presence on the Halcyon, and the need to keep him hidden from the First Order, became a primary goal.

Nevertheless, Alex and Amydara were scheduled for Bridge Training as part of the starcruise. Access to the bridge systems of the CSL Halcyon seems as if it would of course be rare for passengers, yet “bridge training” seems to have been part of the regular schedule, in which passengers are trained across the different system stations throughout the bridge, including weapons, loaders, systems, and shields. Amydara and Alex seemed to have performed admirably, which would be expected given Alex’s experience as a starship pilot. Yet, the “bridge training” appears to have veered off course, as records show multiple unregistered hyperspace jumps by the Halcyon during this time in which the bridge systems were taken out of simulation mode and used in actual combat.

Our telemetry data shows that the Halcyon eventually jumped to a system that included Gaya’s ice spa, so that the Halcyon could pick up the Galactic Superstar for her to be able to make her scheduled appearance in the Crown of Corellia Dining Room. As with each of their other actions, it seems however that there was more to Gaya’s presence on the Halcyon than entertainment, including helping with her copious luggage.

To be continued…
